WELCOME

Dr Christoph Büchler’s orthodontic practice has been established in 1995 in Prilly in the current premises. Dr. Diane Juvet joined the practice in April 2013. After 11 years of confident collaboration between the two specialists, Dr. Diane Juvet took over the firm entirely in April 2024, leaving Dr. Christoph Büchler to enjoy a well-deserved retirement.

Dr. Diane Juvet and her dental care team are happy to welcome me to their orthodontic office in Prilly, to provide me with the best care and give me all the advice I need.

Dr. Diane Juvet puts her experience at my disposal, listens to my needs and develops an individual and perfectly well-adapted solution for me after a complete diagnosis.

MY FIRST ORTHODONTIC CONSULTATION

The first contact is used to get to know you and also to establish a relationship of trust between us. During this first session, you will be informed about the main issues, the different orthodontic treatment options, the approximate cost, and the ideal time to start the treatment.

Depending on the duration, the first consultation is charged between CHF 84.20 and CHF 109.80.

If orthodontic treatment is envisaged, we will arrange another appointment to compile the orthodontic documentation (taking X-rays, photographs and digital dental impressions, and checking of toothbrushing method, dentition growth and pattern, and articulations) in order to establish a specific treatment plan. This plan will then be discussed at a later meeting and will be accompanied by a written estimate.

PRACTICE RATES

We apply CHF 1.05 for private patients (DENTOTAR).

For LAMal treatments, we apply the corresponding rates.

The point value is set by the Swiss Dental Association and can increase to a maximum of CHF 1.70.

RECOMMENDATIONS AND ADVICE

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY: WHAT TO DO IF ...?

  • I inform the practice by phone, even though a coming appointment has already been scheduled.
  • If the brace bothers me, I try to apply Relief Wax on it.
  • I can also try to remove it myself.
  • I keep the debonded brace and I bring it to the office at the time of my appointment.
  • I call the practice to schedule an appointment.
  • If I cannot come along soon, I apply Relief Wax on it or I cut the wire myself. I am careful not to swallow the little bit that I have removed.
  • I call the practice to schedule an appointment.
  • I can try to increase the force by a notch. Warning: I do not increase the force by more than one notch.
  • If shortly before my appointment (1-3 days), I leave it.
  • If more than 3 days before my appointment, I call the practice to fit a new separating elastic.
  • I call the practice to rapidly schedule an appointment.
  • If it bothers me too much, I contact the out-of-hours doctors service.
  • If the inflammation is moderate, I meticulously brush my teeth and rinse with a disinfecting solution which can be bought in pharmacy.
  • If the inflammation is serious with fever and/or considerable pain, I quickly contact the practice or the out-of-hours doctors service.
